Trophy Rockfish season starts Saturday, April 20
Spring (Mid April-May)
Mid April marks the beginning of the Chesapeake Bay Spring Trophy Rockfish season. These are some of the biggest fish (up to 60 lbs) of the year and should be in our area through early to mid May. Book early to ensure your chance at a lifetime Trophy Rockfish (Striped Bass)!
Summer (June, July, August, September)
Summer usually offers the most action of the year. All the species in the Bay are here and biting. We'll be fishing for Rockfish (Striped Bass), Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel, Spot and Croaker! Theses fish begin to arrive in our area in June and become more plentiful as the summer progresses. Come try a day of summertime fishing, it's a great way to spend a summer day with family and friends. This is normally a great time to bring the kids fishing!
Fall (Mid September, October, November)
Mixed catches of Rockfish, Bluefish are common in the fall. Late October and November typically offer great Rockfishing (Striped Bass) as the fish tend to school up for the winter. Some years the big ocean Striped Bass make a return visit in early to mid November.
