The Boat

The "Strike Zone" is a 42 foot fiberglass bay boat custom built by P. L. Jones boatyard. She's equipped with a 700 hp Caterpillar diesel engine that allows the speed and dependability to get you around the Chesapeake Bay in a safe and timely manner. In addition, we offer Air Conditioning, Heat, a clean enclosed restroom (head), dinette seating for 6 and a large open aft area offering lots of room to fish.

For your comfort the enclosed cabin includes

A message from the Captain:

Hi, I'm Coast Guard licensed (100 Ton Master) Captain Wally Williams.  Most importantly I'd like to thank my Dad, USAF Major Ret. Charles H. Williams, a Distinguished Flying Cross medal recipient, for taking time to take me fishing when I was a kid and instilling the love of the Bay I have today.  Thanks Dad!  I'll be forever grateful. I have been fishing the Chesapeake Bay for over 45 years (40 as a licensed Captain) and I still enjoy being on the Bay everyday.   We offer a fast, clean, well maintained 42 ft solid fiberglass boat, outfitted with state of the art electronics and gear.  We also have Heat, Air conditioning and a clean, enclosed bathroom (head) onboard for your comfort.  I invite you to spend some time aboard one of the premier Chesapeake Bay Charter boats.  We promise to do all we can to make your trip with us a fun filled adventure. We offer many different methods of fishing; including light tackle, live lining, trolling, chumming or bottom fishing.  We target the multiple species found within the Chesapeake bay to include; Bluefish, Rockfish (or Striped Bass), Spanish Mackerel, Whiting, White Perch, Spot, Hardhead/Croaker and others. These species are available at different times of the year so feel free to ask me what's biting when you want to go fishing. Bring your friends, family, co-workers and don't forget the kids (for safety reasons, please no children under 6 years of age).
